BCBC members will lead a bird walk for the Trail Days celebration in the Breaks Park. Those participating will meet at 8:00 a.m. at the parking lot in front of the Breaks Restaurant/Lodge. Everyone is welcome to help with the walk or just to enjoy the birding with the group. |

Bluestone Dam and Hinton Area Outing. Members meet at Claypool Hill Wal-Mart at 7:30 a.m. then caravan to Hinton WV to meet with Bibbee Nature Club members. The day is spent looking for eagles and waterfowl on Bluestone Lake, New River and surrounding areas. Visitors welcome. |

Breaks Interstate Park Christmas Bird Count. This count covers the area from the town of Grundy to Elkhorn City, KY. Anyone interested in helping with this count contact Austin Bradley at the Breaks Park or members of the Buchanan County Bird Club. |
| December 15, 2013 - Sunday | Buchanan County Christmas Bird Count. Birders join teams to count birds in a 15 mile diameter circle located in eastern Buchanan County.
